DashTrack provides two different pricing tools for managing menu options:

  • Variants: A variant providers the ability to define variations of a menu item, e.g. sizes, flavors, etc.

  • Add ons: An add on group is a modifier that can be added to a menu item, e.g. toppings, another scoop of ice cream, etc.

This guide shows how to set pricing for a variant based item. For instructions for managing add on pricing via the mobile app, click here.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the menu item you want to update. The video shows creating an item from scratch, but the same process applies to working with an existing item.

  2. Click on the "Pricing" drop down label (as a shortcut, you can also long press on an item to automatically work with an item's pricing)

  3. If you have already assigned a variant(s) to an item, you can simply click on the price you want to change and then press the "Update" button to save the changes.

  4. To assign a new variant, tap on the "Add Variant Group". This will show you the list of available variants in your system.

  5. Tap on the variant group that you want to assign. This will render the list of variant options, e.g. if you have a variant group called "Drink Sizes", it would render a list such as: "Small", "Medium", "Large", etc.

  6. Tap on each of the prices that you want to change and press the "Back" icon on the top left hand of the screen.

  7. Press the "Update" button to save the changes.
